Girl Shaped Flames

Thank You CQUniversity Australia

Over the past few months, FUEL has been partnering with CQUniversity Australia to bring you our Feed The Beast Talks at Brisbane Powerhouse. They have been eagerly supporting our innovative way of engaging and educating young women through first-hand learning informed by real-world experience, and they too believe in the importance of providing teen girls with the skills they need to make a difference in our society and change the world!

Rhiannon Bannenberg Feed The Beast Recap

After a busy morning with a number of Strike Workshops earlier in the day, Rhiannon Bannenberg was ready to be put on the stage and under the spotlight for her Feed The Beast Talk at Brisbane Powerhouse.

Rhiannon Bannenberg – Workshops Galore!

Earlier in December, Director, Composer, Cinematographer and all-round awesome chick, Rhiannon Bannenberg was in Brisbane for a series of FUEL activities. Her time here was short, but it covered everything from One-On-One Mentoring to Strike Workshops, PLUS a Feed The Beast Talk (Sheesh!).

Sonia McDonald Instills Leaders with Confidence

Earlier in the week Brisbane’s own Sonia McDonald, CEO of LeadershipHQ, commanded the stage at Brisbane Powerhouse for FUEL’s most recent Feed The Beast Talk. To say that the audience of teen girls left fired-up and ready to rock would be an understatement – but not before Sonia had some interesting insights to reveal about the audience…

FUEL on Channel Ten News!

Early last week Channel Ten News picked up our rockclimbing adventure with Ky Furneaux. Check out their awesome feature below!

Be Bold, Be Brave, Go Rockclimbing

By immersing teen girls in experiences without a curriculum, they develop a sense of self, build confidence and understand what it takes to work as a team. All skills that will transfer into any school endeavour or career progressions they may have in the future.

FUEL is in The Sunday Mail

Here at FUEL we already know it’s important for young girls to #skillup outside of the normal curriculum, but it still comes at such a boost of encouragements to see media outlets agree.

Ky Furneaux: Feed The Beast Recap

After a busy day which started with teaching QLD Scouts how to rockclimb at Kangaroo Point, Ky Furneaux swapped the sneakers for a pair of (boot)heels, and presented to an energised audience at our Feed The Beast Talk later that night.

Ky Furneaux: Be Bold, Be Brave, Be Awesome.

People are quick to assume that Ky Furneaux’s success comes from the fact that she is a strong woman in a physical industry, but Ky outright REJECTS this attitude. She believes that achieving success (regardless of the industry) takes more internal strength, determination and self-belief than any physical factor.
