EXTRAORDINARY EXPERIENCES FEATURING EXTRAORDINARY WOMEN

Our 2019 Industry Ignite Partners

Deloitte Head Office All Day Experience

To say the excursion to Deloitte opened the girls’ eyes would be an understatement. From the moment they arrived on the 34th floor they were blown away. The Macro Overview and Interactive Q&A set the scene, but the tour of the building and double Live Case Study Activity rotation in the afternoon really solidified their understanding of the industry and roles on offer.

I really liked this excursion as it opened my eyes to how many different jobs there are and how important Deloitte is to the community as it helps solve problems for companies that we might go to.” – Jordyn, Grade 11

Skedulo Head Office All Day Experience

After setting a company goal of supporting more women and girls in tech, Skedulo was one of our first partners on board for the program. And their All Day Excursion didn’t disappoint! Kicking off with a macro overview of the industry and company delivered by none other than the CEO, Matt Fairhurst, the day was a non-stop array of exquisite office space, inspiring women, interactive workshops and department shadowing.

Today made a huge impact by showing girls they can go into whatever field they want to. Thank you so much for providing them this opportunity!– Linda Clarke, Teacher Mt Alvernia College

RACQ Head Office All Day Experience

The RACQ Company Excursion was a brilliant experience for the girls in attendance. After a Macro Overview and interactive Q&A, the girls were invited to experience first-hand receiving calls within the call centre, an innovation workshop solving real RACQ challenges, and finished the day receiving 1:1 mentoring from 18 of RACQ’s female staff involved in their own internal mentoring program.

The RACQ excursion was very welcoming and I felt like I got a glimpse into the company. I definitely feel a lot more confident in my career/schooling paths after listening to the mentors.– Jessica, Grade 10

Urban Utilities Innovation Hub All Day Experience

In celebration of National Science Week, Urban Utilities hosted 35 girls for an interactive day at their Brisbane Innovation Hub.  There the girls were immersed in a variety of sciences that make up the company’s comprehensive skillset, were offered direct access to the amazing women who worked there, and developed a comprehensive understanding of the complexities facing service providers critical to the operation of society.

“The opportunity for our employees to showcase the work we do for the environment, fostering innovation and creating sustainability has been widely welcomed across our organisation, with everyone from our CEO to our Graduates being involved in this initiative.– Yvonne Lewandowski, Urban Utilities Leadership, Diversity & Inclusion Lead
