SAE Design Lecturer Heli Puhukka was first-up in the Q&A hot-seat and skilfully answered questions about putting faith in your creative ability, navigating the freelancing landscape and how to seek out the best further-study plan to suit your interests.  The questions came thick and fast and it was clear that many of the girls in the audience shared the same concerns about desiring a creative path.

Next up were 6 Extraordinary Designers who have each made a successful living by applying their skill and passion for all things design, including Photography, Digital, Product, Architecture, Film Production & Interior Design.  The girls made their way around the guests in small groups, soaking up as much advice, information and personal storytelling as they could in 15 minute blocks.

After a yummy lunch the day was capped off with 2 x 1 hour interactive workshops on Answering a Creative Brief, led by Associate Creative Director at Clemenger BBDO, Christie Luxton, and Communicating your Creative Ideas led by Tammy Keers – owner of her own successful bespoke jewellery company for the past 13 years. By the end of the day the girls were bursting with inspiration, clarity and excitement at the prospect of keeping in touch with the women they had connected with.
