Coming to Townsville for the very first time, Girls Shaped Flames’ Confidence Conference and Workshops for teen girls in high school (Grades 7-12) have been designed to increase confidence, clarify direction and develop the courage needed to achieve goals.
Girl Shaped Flames works with teenage girls to unearth their passions and strengths, broaden their knowledge and understanding and the world around them, and explore actionable steps they can take to pursue their goals.
Girls leave our workshops with the increased courage and skills to succeed in school, relationships, work and life.
On average, our experiences achieve the following impact:

This workshop covers: // What you focus on gets done // Mastering the To Do List // Prioritisation // Motivation & Environmental influences

Girls: If you feel as though you are experiencing one of the most stressed and pressurised period of time in our history, you wouldn’t be far off the mark. Growing up with financial crisis, global terror threats, social media and exponentially advancing technology, not to mention a competitive graduate market and dynamic job landscape leads to a lot on your shoulders.
This session delves into the causes of PRESSURE, how and when it turns to STRESS, and tips on how you can MANAGE both.
The Girls Shaped Flames’ Confidence Conference and Workshops have been made possible by the generous support of:
About the Workshop Leader: Tanya Meessmann
Tanya’s journey has taken her from the small coastal Central QLD town of Yeppoon, via a Bond University Scholarship, through some of the largest Advertising agencies and Brands in the world, on overseas adventures and eventually into a decade-long Film Producing Career.
Over the past 18 months Tanya has worked with over 1500 girls, parents and educators through workshops, one-on-one mentoring, Q&As and keynote addresses with the key focus on building CONFIDENCE, inspiring PASSION, clarifying GOALS and developing the SKILLS needed to reach them.
FUEL Girl Shaped Flames was founded on the premise that every girl has a fire in her belly, and if the flames are fanned with the right inspiration, guidance and confidence development; girls can achieve far more than they ever thought possible. But it requires hard work, self-focus and a little bit of courage!

Who will benefit from these events?
The focus of these interactive experiences is on girls identifying the inner fire that exists within each of them, recognising their potential and identifying ways they can grow their confidence, ambition and abilities. The workshops are best suited to girls who want to:
Connect with what drives, excites and motivates them
Learn how to apply that motivation to a variety of areas of their life and responsibilities
Harness their potential to achieve and focus it toward goals
Understand themselves better
Increase their confidence and capacity to pursue their dreams
Meet and connect with other like-minded girls
