FEAR OF FAILURE

CHECK OUT OUR SIGNATURE PROGRAM: COURAGEOUS PARENTING

TIP #1: OUTCOMES GAMEPLAN

One of the key topics that comes up time and time again with parents and girls I work with is young girls’ FEAR OF FAILURE.

So I’ve put together a couple of very quick strategies you can use to help your daughter deal with her fear of failure, and prepare her heading into (and coming out of) challenges with more strength and self-belief.

TIP #2: START SMALL, BUILD CONFIDENCE

It’s a simple one, but an approach so often forgotten in our time-poor lives!

TIP #3: TIME TO GET VULNERABLE

This one is going to be trickier for some, BUT we’re expecting the girls to get out of their comfort zone, so sometimes we have to too! A great strategy to use either before or after a failure.

TIP #4: LET HER CRY

This one is going to be a less popular suggestion, but I promise you the benefits outweigh the short-term pain you both have to go through to get to the other side.

How do you feel when you have to let your daughter really feel the pain of her disappointment??

TIP #5: WHO ARE YOU NOW?

By far my favourite tip of the set! I’m all about learning and moving forward with intension, so this tip harnesses the self-growth your daughter experiences after a failure.

Have you seen a shift in your daughter’s self awareness after she’s experienced a failure?
